These terms govern your use of this website. They are not a substitute for medical advice, and using this site does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using www.drheathervandeven.com, operated by Dr Heather Vandeven, Professional Corporation ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Use of this Site, including submitting a contact form, consultation request, or photos, does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and Dr. Heather Vande Ven. A doctor-patient relationship is established only after an in-person (or approved telehealth) consultation and mutual agreement to proceed with care.

2. Not Medical Advice

The content on this Site — including text, images, before-and-after photos, blog posts, and any other materials — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Every patient is different, and surgical outcomes vary based on individual anatomy, health history, and other factors.

Always seek the advice of a qualified physician regarding any medical condition or before pursuing any procedure. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this Site.

3. No Guarantee of Results

Before-and-after photos and testimonials displayed on this Site represent the experiences of specific individual patients. Individual results vary, and past results do not guarantee or predict similar outcomes for any other person. All surgical and non-surgical procedures carry inherent risks, which will be discussed in detail during an in-person consultation.

4. Use of Photos and Testimonials

All before-and-after photographs, patient testimonials, and related content displayed on this Site are used with the express written consent of the individuals depicted. These images and testimonials are the property of Dr Heather Vandeven, Professional Corporation and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our prior written permission.

5. Emergency Disclaimer

This Site is not monitored for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not use website contact forms, email, or social media messaging to communicate urgent or emergency medical concerns.

6. User Submissions

If you submit photos, messages, or other information through our Site (e.g., via a contact or consultation request form), you represent that:

  • You are the person depicted in any submitted photos, or you have authorization to submit them
  • The information you provide is accurate and not misleading
  • You will not submit unlawful, harassing, or harmful content

We reserve the right to remove or decline to respond to any submission at our discretion.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use information through the Site. Health information collected as part of your care as a patient is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective upon posting to this page, with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

14. Eligibility

This Site is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to submit the consultation form or otherwise actively submit personal information to us through the Site. If you are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian contact us by phone on your behalf. Portions of the Site, including the before-and-after gallery, contain material appropriate only for adults; by acknowledging the age notice and viewing that content, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

15. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information, or another person’s information without their authorization, through our forms
  • Use the Site to harass, defame, or harm anyone
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its server, or any connected systems, or probe or test their security
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or data from the Site, including by automated means — other than ordinary search-engine indexing and AI-assistant retrieval conducted in accordance with our robots.txt and llms.txt files
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation, including by transmitting malicious code or generating excessive automated traffic
